I'm glad to hear that Howard gave his backing to the half mile proposal, where you're only allowed to play for a team if you live within half a mile of the pub. It was very brave of him to put his neck on the line by saying he will bring it up at the next meeting. Good luck with it Howard!!!

What has prompted this?

half a mile from the pub what's all that about , you wouldn't have a league as the previous email what prompted this ??

I'm pretty sure that is supposed to be a joke. Howard would clearly be one of the first people who falls foul of this living on John morris Road and playing a team in Shippon. I make that considerably over 1/2 a mile.

I never gave my backing for half mile proposal what i said was turn up at a meeting & put the proposal forward i said this to Ian Moral.

I play for the P.O.W. i live about 2 to 3 miles away from the pub i don,t think i would back any thing as stupid as this proposal ,its just sour grapes on the college,s part
because there are player,s who live near the college & play for other pubs I. E the tap is,nt that right IAN

If a proposal like this got voted through at a meeting it would mean the end of the dart league.

How is the half mile rule measured? By car, by foot (taking shortcuts through peoples gardens) or by the crow flies??? if it is the latter I may consider buying a flying pig to take me to darts on Monday.
